The occurance of excess cell division
Dysplasia
The lack of complete differentiation (lack of maturity)
Metaplasia
The change from one cell type to another cell type
Neoplasia
Abnormal and excessive tissue growth
What is amyloidosis?
The name for a group of rare, serious conditions caused by a build up of the abnormal protein, amyloid, in organs and tissue throughout the body
What is multiple myeloma?
A blood/bone marrow cancer arising from plasma cells.
What does adenoma mean?
a benign tumor of glandular tissue, such as the mucosa of stomach, small intestine, and colon, in which tumor cells form glands or gland like structures
What does carcinoma mean?
a cancer arising in the epithelial tissue of the skin or of the lining of the internal organs.

Sudden occurrence or intensification of symptoms
