Q

graph question

A
  • dont forget to add title at the top
  • write titles of x and y axis and their measurements
  • configure the values before plotting them if needed
  • draw a line through the values
  • plot accurately, make sure the plotted points are clearly visible

Q

when doing qs

A

-read the questions CAREFULLY!! do not miss a question that was written within another question

for example, “Draw a suitable graph to show the relationship… State this relationship and explain how your graph verifies it”
-DONT FORGET to do the last 2 questions after doing the graph!!

Q

period

A

The period is the time it takes to complete one full cycle. The period of a pendulum is the time it takes for the pendulum to swing from left to right and back again.

17
Q

before doing calculations

A

check at the bottom of the qs if they give you any constants that are rounded up!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

18
Q

units

A

make sure to give answer in units they want if there is a stated unit, eg “ in years” –> turn seconds to years!!

19
Q

dont forget

A
  • write the correct units
  • give answer in units/decimal points that they want if they specify
  • write out all calculations
  • always write formulas down before starting calculations
  • pay attention as you do calculations, don’t accidentally change values in the middle of them
  • change everything to SI unit!!
  • make sure you fully understand what they want and what to do before attempting the question
20
Q

when converting units

A

if unit is x/y, x and y are calculated differently!! remember the rule

21
Q

when doing graphs

A

make necessary conversions/adjustments to values before drawing graph (eg. sin i / sin r graph, not i vs r graph)
