1
Q

what will all null hypotheses state?

Q

concluding using P values?

A
  • statistical test value exceeds critical value
  • reject/accept null hypothesis (usually reject)
  • prob that X due to chance less than 5%
  • difference between X/correlation = significant
  • state hypothesis correct e.g. height does have an impact on weight

Q

describing stats tests?

A
  • construct null hypothesis (if not already done)
  • carry out stats test (say which one)
  • use critical value table to show P less than or equal to 0.05 (less than 5% probability correlation due to chance)
  • use critical value table figure to reject / accept null
