13
Q

If all PRIMs are unservicable which computer becomes master?

A

With no PRIMS online each SEC computes and executes its own orders.

There is no master.

16
Q

What is an FCDC and what does it do?

How many are there?

A

Flight Control Data Concentrator

These take information from the Flight Control Computers and make it accessable to other systems such as the Flight Data Recorders and Flight Warning System.

There are two FCDCs.

17
Q

In the event of total FCC failure, what system is in place to recover control?

A

The Backup Control Module takes over when all FCCs fail.

18
Q

What is an EHA?

A

An EHA is an Electro Hydrostatic Actuator.

It operates as a self contained hydraulic actuator receiving power from an electric supply.

19
Q

What is an EBHA?

A

An EBHA is an Electrical Backup Hydraulic Actuator.

This acts as a normal actuator when hydraulic supply is available.

If hydraulic supply fails it uses an internal pump and hydraulic reservoir to continue operation.

20
Q

How is elevator actuation organized?

A

Each elevator has one conventional actuator and one EHA.

The conventional actuator powers the elevator in normal operation with the EHA in damping mode as standby.

A
22
Q

Each flight control actuator is controlled by………?

A

One PRIM and one SEC.

23
Q

If all three PRIMS fail, which SEC becomes master?

A

There is never a master SEC. All SECS act independently/

24
Q

How does each PRIM use ISIS data?

A

To crosscheck data from the ADIRUs
