What is the capacity of the centre fuel tank?

What status does the fuel figure have that is indicated on the SD display?
The indicated figure is ‘usuable’ fuel.
What happens to fuel that enters the ‘surge tank’?
It drains to the wing tank via a non-return valve.
Which fuel pumps provide the highest pressure?
Centre tank pumps have higher output pressure and supply fuel preferentially.
When is fuel supplied from the centre tank?
A few minutes after the flap lever is set to 0° with the CTR TK FD pb-sw set to AUTO.
How many pumps are required to supply both engines?
Any pump produces enough pressure to supply both engines.
When does a wing tank standby pump run?
If the main pump doesn’t produce sufficient pressure.
If the centre tank is empty.
When does the engine LP valve close?
- When the ENG MASTER switch is set to off.
- When the ENG FIRE p/b is pressed.
Which fuel tank supplies the APU?
The fuel system can be configured to supply the APU from any tank.
When does the APU feed pump run?
When the APU is started until the APU is shut down.
Which main fuel pump supplies the APU?
Any main fuel pump can supply the APU.
Where is fuel temperature measured?
In the wing tanks only.
