A
  • COMMUNICATING: patent processus vaginalis allows peritoneal fluid to flow into the scrotum
  • NON-COMMUNICATING: production of fluid in the tunica vaginalis

  • SNT Scrotal swelling ant + below testicle
  • Transilluminates
  • May also get above mass
  • Testis might be difficult to ID from hydrocoele
