A

Criteria for UAMECR

A

Unfit for SPEC duties >28 days and <24 months eg A3/C3
Employment restrictions permanent eg SPEC A2/C2
Absence from duty >28 days but <4 months SPEC A3/C3
Return to duty after a period of grounding or unfitness >4 weeks provided
- not due to either a mental disorder or substance abuse
- period of grounding or unfitness <12months
- conditions is fully cured (not just controlled)
- no residual functional incapacity
- no requirement for safety relevant medications
- absence from duty did not extend >4 months

criteria for IAMECR

A

Unique to SPEC A and C for more unusual/complicated medical conditions
Conducted for
- return to duty after either mental disorders or substance abuse
- UAMECR cases in which SSAMA or CO RAAF IAM concludes that a higher level of AMECR is required
Raised by AVMO
review by SSAMA
referred to RAAF IAM which results in it being reviewed by 2 SAVMOs
Confirmed by CO RAAF IAM

Criteria for CAMECR

A

SPEC A3/C3 > 24 moths or SPEC A4/C4 has been recommended
If health professional recommend MEC J29, L27, L28, J32, J4x, J5x
If health professional considers the member to be non-deployable for >12 months with J31 extension, >18months Navy and RAAF, >24 months army
when a member has been MEC J34 for >4 months
where the CMA/PMA has directed MECRB consideration
when directed for further review by the MECRB
