- decision-making body of WHO.
- attended by delegations from all WHO Member States and focuses on a specific health agenda prepared by the Executive Board.

What are the main functions of the World Health Assembly?
A
-to determine the policies of the Organization, appoint the Director-General, supervise financial policies, and review and approve the proposed programme budget.

A
- held annually in Geneva, Switzerland.

Why in news?
A
Recently, India has been elected to the World Health Organisation (WHO)’s Executive Board. It will also be holding a Chairmanship of the Executive Board for the next one year (from May 2020- May 2021)
