What’s a balance sheet?
shows company financial position at specific point in time usually end of year via assets and liabilities
shows worth of company
What is a profit and loss? (also known as income statement)
shows revenue, expenses over a specific period to asses financial health over specific period
Revenue

-operating expenses eg wages
=EBIT (earning before interest and tax)
-tax
=net profit
*eg profits test x3 annual
Corporation tax 25% over £250k
What is a cash flow?
Shows all cash in and out of a business over a set period eg monthly
helps show if a company has enough cash to satisfy the day to day, understand liquidity
Difference between GAAP and IFRS?
IFRS principle based (public or large companies)
