A
  • Born in 1800 in Germany, as a young medical doctor he was sent by his professor to discredit Hahnemann.
  • Hering was a man of truth however and had a deep curiosity for knowing –he instead became one of Hahnemann’s staunchest supporters and went on to make significant contributions to homeopathy.

Eg:
1. A boil/abscess
2. A patient with asthma starts improving but develops an eczema as the asthma starts improving.
3. A patient had amalgam filling for over 15 years, had them removed but with no detoxification support. Treatment begins and patient develops a purulent catarrh, with lots of pain in the ear (the same side the amalgam fillings had been).

  • These guiding principles have been a set of observational tools to assess how true healing occurs and has become not only a vital tool of assessment in homeopathy, but in naturopathy, herbal medicine and Traditional Chinese Medicine.
  • Herings Law guides us to follow the principles of cure which is gentle and effective. Even when palliation may be required to ease ones suffering, one should always maintain a close check so as not to suppress.
