Tear Drop Turn

A
  • Use if limited section lines or ground references.
  • Turn 45* from section line
  • Time 7-10 seconds then turn to reciprocal of the orginal heading

G-LOC Sequence

A
  • Grey out: Peripheral vision is progressively impaired
  • Blackout: vision is completely lost
  • Loss of conscioness
  • Typically lasts 15-30 seconds once inudced

Loop

A
  • Configuration: Entry airspeed 230-250 KIAS, power MAX
  • Checklist: PSA
  • Clearing: Visual Scan, TCAS, Turns as required
  • Procedure:
    • Wings level clear airspace above
      • Check and report altitude over the ICS
      • Smooth pull up accelerating to 4 Gs within 2 to 3 seconds
      • DO NOT USE AILERON
    • Recheck wings level as the nose passes through the horizon
      • Increase right rudder pressure as airspeed decreases
    • After passing vertical position, tilt head back and visually locate the opposite horizon
      • Check nose is in line with section line
