AI Flashcards

1
Q

What is ai?

A

The study of machines to model the types of intelligence normally exhibited by people. It makes machines more capable to improve human intelligence and congitive behaviour

Q

Features of neural network modelling

A

-artificial neurons called units are arranged in layers
-each unit is connected to every other unit
-inputs receive information from the outside world
-outputs provide a response representing what they have learnt

Q

How does neural network modelling learn?

A

Through patterns of information that enter the network. The inputs are added together and if the sum is above the given will trigger those connected. The output is compared to the output it was meant to produce and the difference is used to modify the connections. Over time this process will reduce the difference between the actual and intended output causing learning to occur.
