AIP - Various Flashcards
(9 cards)
As per the AIP, can you fly in a higher approach category?
Yes, if your handling speeds are higher than those of the current category. Must comply with new minima/restrictions for the higher catgeory, and if approach is via non-radar must have ATC approval first.
When can we use remote QNH?
As long as not RNP AR or LNAV/VNAV, and does not specify “only”.
When can we NOT use remote QNH?
Use (LOCAL) QNH only
How to calculate remote QNH?
Add 5ft to MDA for every mile in excess of 5nm from the QNH source.
Does “Use KK QNH” mean we can do remote QNH?
Ideally use KK QNH first, however if that is not working, then can use remote QNH (Not applicable to LNAV/VNAV).
What is the RNP tolerance stated in ENR 1.5?
Must be within half the standard, ie for RNP 1 you must be within 0.5nm XTE, can briefly go upto full deviation of 1.0 the limit after major turns etc.
