Q

What is the cardiac notch?

A

This is an impression in the left lung which surrounds the heart so it can fit in.

17
Q

What is the fibrous pericardium? What are 3 functions of it?

A

Layer of connective tissue that surrounds the serous pericardium.
3 functions:
Stops heart overexpanding
Fixes heart in position
Protects against infection
