Andrenergics
A
Used in cardiac arrest, COPD. Action- stimulate beta 2 receptors in lungs > inc peripheral resistance and cause bronchodilation. Ex- levophed (norepinephrine), intropin (dopamine), adrenalin (epinephrine), dobutrex (dobutamine). SE- dysrhythmias, tremors, anticholinergic effects (dry mouth, urinary retention). N- monitor BP, peripheral pulses, output.
