Q

Why am i finding the number of Victoria Crosses handed out at Rorke’s Drift relevant at all? (~5)

A

It was an impressive battle but also an absolutely tiny one that had pretty much no impact on the outcome of the war.
It could have been to distract from the horrible horrible failiure of the night before.
Point is, i think that it was a morale and opinion descision (especially how insane it is to hand them out anyway).
You could maybe make some sort of point about the power of the people.
ESPECIALLY, as this wasnt even started with permission so some people bound to be annoyed.
