What does stereotyping do for participation in sport?
Assumptions people make that limit peoples mindset and divert them into thinking they cannot participate in the sport the would like to.
Eg// a person with 1 leg is told they cannot swim and participate in swimming so this leads to them not participating
Define disability
A physical or mental condition that limits a persons movements, senses or activities.
What does availability do to participation?
A lack of availability of facilities means that people have to travel further for sport and for some people that is more expensive and costly meaning that they cannot participate in some sports as they are too far w away.
Eg// a young girl wants to play for a football team but the nearest one is 40 miles away as a result of lack of interest or time put into womens football
