What is a self paced skill?
A skill that is controlled by the performer who decides when to execute the skill
What is an externally paced skill?
A skill that is controlled by the environment and requires decision and reaction time quickly
What is an open skill?
Dictated by opponents position and teammates
What is a closed skill?
Not dictated by anything and controlled by the performer
What is a gross skill?
Uses large muscle groups
What is a fine skill?
Uses small muscle groups
What is a basic skill?
Doesn’t require much thought or concentration- no decision making
What is a complex skill?
Requires attention to detail
