Iliac Crest
Crest on top of hip and ilium portion

Top portion of hip, biggest part
Greater sciatic notch
Thumb sized notch still on ilium. On posterior side
Ischium
Portion of hip. Lower left quadrant on side of greater sciatic notch. Inferior to ilium.
Ischial tuberosity
Bump on ischium portion or hip
Pubis
Portion of hip inferior to ilium. Has the hole in it. Lower right quadrant.
Pubic Symphysis
Cartilage joining both os coxae.
Pubic arch
Angle at which os coxae join. Males pubic arches are more acute.
Auricular surface
Where the bottom of spine meets os coxae. Smooth surface.
Obturator foramen
Hip hole
Acetabulum
Hip socket
Femur
Longest leg bones that attaches to hip
Head
Bulb or ball, prominent expended end of a bone (head of femur)
Fovea capitis
Dimple on head of femur
Neck
Narrow region below head
Greater trochanter (femur)
Below the head of femur on lateral side. Bump. Bigger.
Lesser trochanter (femur)
Below the head of femur on medial side. Bump. Smaller.
Medial condyle (femur)
Smooth surface by knee cap. Medial side
Lateral condyle (femur)
Smooth surface by knee cap. Lateral side.
Intercondylar fossa
Notch between condyles. Back of knee.
Medial epicondyle (femur)
Smooth surface on back of knee. Medial side.
Lateral epicondyle (femur)
Smooth surface back of knee. Lateral side.
Tibia
Bigger than the fibula. On medial side.
Medial condyle (tibia)
Smooth surface on medial side.
