A

The Suffragettes were an organisation which campaigned for woman’s suffrage towards the end of the 19th century and the beginning of the 20th century. The campaign for woman’s suffrage was a clear attempt to influence the development of democracy at the time of changing attitudes towards the two sexes between 1851 and 1928.
