Q

Background

A

Ronald Reagan was president of the United States of America during most of the 1980s and was part of the Republican Party which meant he had stronger anti communist beliefs than Democrats meaning he was likely to want to continue pursuing the Cold War. Gorbachev was the leader of the Soviet Union during the late 80s and early 90s and before he became leader he and his family worked in agriculture which is a laborious job increasing the chances of him having sympathy towards working people in the Soviet Union.
