A
acute monoarthropathy, usually of larger joints in the elderly
usually spontaneous but can be provoked by illness/surgery/trauma

how do you manage acute CPPD
A
- cool packs
- rest
- aspiration
- intra-articular steroids

weakly +ve bifringement crystals
