A

-17th/18th century: agricultural economy
-18th/19th century: industrialization
-1890-1920: age of adolescence meant that school became mandatory so no child labor
-ww2: people went back to part time work
-1950-200: half of adolescents are working in addition to going to school
-2000 through present: decreasing adolescent work because of decreased demand, increased minimum wages, and a focus on college as end goal
