Q

What is the Equilibrium Rule? What must happen between gravity & the normal force for Equilibrium?

A

The vector sum of all the forces is equal to zero. (Net force = 0). “State of no change.”
The gravitational force and the normal force MUST equal zero for equilibrium.

Q

What is the Resultant and how do you calculate it?

A

The resultant is the sum of two (or more) vectors. You calculate it with the Pythagorean Thereom. (a^2 + b^2 = c^2)
