A

Issued by Lincoln stating that as of Jan 1 1863, all slaves in the confed states are free. Not the border states because it may cause them to secede.

Grant lost twice the amount of men as lee because he knew that he was capable of doing so.

The place where Grant cornered Lee and where the confed surrendered. Grant and army burned and captured Richmond finally.

Assassination of Lincoln. South was first happy about this but then very sad because they knew that if Lincoln was still alive, he would have treated them much better.
