Q

delta rule equation meaning

A

triangle P = change in causal strength
p(e|c) = probability of the effect when the cue is present
p(e|c w line) = probability of the effect when the cue is NOT present
- if triangle P is positive then C is believed to prove E
- if triangle P is negative than C is believed to prevent E
- if triangle P is ZERO then C and E are NOT believed to be causally related to each other
