How does the building of a factory lead to the growth of a town?

A

When building a factory, the workers would want to move closer to the factory. Factory owners would build and rent out houses to the workers, and people began setting up shops so that the workers could buy food and drinks. Eventually, roads, churches, schools and places of entertainment were built.
