Who was Joseph Chamberlain?
A liberal tuners conservative politicians, he was responsible for the Uganda railways and large expansion into africa during the 19thc.

Who was Cecil Rhodes?
He had risen from a trader to the prime minister of cape colony unbder the strong belief that British civilisation and control bettered the world and those they controlled.
Rhodes had a great fortune and through his control of cape newspapers he impressed on at home and abroad audience that it was the duty and the right of the British to dominate the world, he was heavily inspired by his social Darwinist opinions.
