Key Beliefs: Revelation
God has revealed truths to humans through his creation and scripture, including his ‘saving plan’ for humanity through special revelation, ie. Jesus
Key Beliefs: Incarnation
Jesus was a mortal human incarnation of God with the purpose of illustrating the divinity that resides in all humans. God has shaved in human experience.
Key Beliefs: Resurrection
On Judgement Day, humanity will be held accountable for its actions, and individuals will be judged according to their deservedness of eternal life or punishment.
Key Beliefs: Salvation
Jesus rose from the dead to confirm his divinity, prefigure resurrection for all, and save humanity from acquired sin. He sacrificed his life for the cleansing of humanity.
Key Beliefs: Human Dignity
Individuals have innate dignity due to their part in Jesus’ salvation. Everyone was equally created in God’s image and thus has the right to dignity.
Linear or Cyclical?
The Christian worldview is Linear and is characterised by the belief that the ministry of Christ must be followed to achieve eternal life in God’s kingdom of Heaven on the day of Judgment.
