Key Beliefs: Revelation
Divine relavtion, messages from G-d are contained in the Torah which authenticates the sacred texts and guides adherents towards fulfilment of their purpose of life.
Key Beliefs: Sin, Repentance and Free Will
Humans sin through disregarding G-ds covenant, and repentance, i.e request for forgiveness from G-d, must be prachced to cleanse the soul. Sin occurs as G-d gave humans free-will, and by nature it is misused.
Key Beliefs: Divine and Human Justice
G-d instructed humanity through divine revelation how to implement justice. Injustice is perceived as a violation of G-d’s authority as it subverts his commandments.
Key Beliefs: Sanctity of Life
Human life is sacred as it was created in the likeness of G-d, thus all individuals have innate divinity. G-d gave a conscience to humans, setting them apart from the rest of his creation.
Linear or Cyclical?
The Jewish worldview is LINEAR and is characterised by the belief that adherents must fulfill the Abrahamic Covenant via adherence to the 613 mitzvot to return to Yahweh in the Messianic Age.
