What is an open skill?
Affected by the enviroment, unstable and unpredictable
What is closed skill?
A skill not affected by the enviroment, stable and predictable.
What is discrete skill?
A skill with a clear beginning and ending
What is a serial skill?
Skill madde up of two or more discrete skills linked together.
What is a continuous skill?
A skill with no clear beginning and ending
What is a self-paced skill?
When the performer controls the speed asnd timing of the skill.
What is an externally paced skill?
Where the enviroment or opponent or external factors have control of the speed or timing of the skill.
What is a gross skill?
Skill using a large muscle group
What is a fine skill?
Skill involviong intricate movement using small muscle groups.
What is a high organisation skill?
Skill has a number of sub-routines that cannot be broken down easily so practised as a whole sub-routine.
What is a low organisation skill?
sub-routines are easily broken into parts and practised by themselves.
What is a simple skill?
A skill that requires few decisions to be made when being performed.
What is a complex skill?
A skill that requires decision makin using lots of information when being performed.
