A

Light coating of frost, on the underside of the wing tank area. Limit of up to 3mm (1/8”)

After de-icing/anti-icing, what precaution is to be taken before takeoff?

A

Pre-takeoff INspection.
- visual inspection from the cabin within 5 mins before take off.
- if the shorter of the hold over time is exceeded.

What is the significance of the shorter and longer holdover times.

A

Shorter HOT is for ‘moderate’ precipitation.
Longer HOT is for ‘light’ precipitation
