  • In aging population, chronic conditions become more common
  • Examples include mental health conditions, back problems, arthritis, diabetes, heart/stroke/vascular disease, osteoporosis (mandible), COPD, and cancer

  • Lipid lowering therapy
  • Blood pressure lowering
  • Downside is that some preventions may cause adverse effects
  • Also high cost (esp over long term) with slow ROI, so harder to incentivise
