1
Q
How can you framing used in this painting?
A
The trees either side create a frame around the deer, which draws our eyes to her and makes her the focal point
2
Q
How has depth and distance been used?
A
The trees get narrower and shorter as they go back. This helps us to see far down into the background, creating space
3
Q
How are our eyes drawn to the gap in the trees in the distance?
A
By the repetition of the horizon line and edge of forest. We then notice the sea which again adds distance
4
Q
How can we tell the rule of thirds has been used.
A
Our eyes have been drawn to important features. We can see this along the edge of the tree / gap in forest and the head of the deer
