How has the use of lines help us understand Kahlo`s pain?
A
Kahlo has used very sharp, thin and straight lines to create the arrows in the deer`s body. This makes it easy for us to see them and understand her pain.

What kind of lines do we see on the tree and how does it make the tree look?
A
I can see very thin vertical lines used in the bark of the tree on the right. This makes the tree look rough and shows it is dried up and dead.

Where are the repeating lines and what does it remind us of?
A
The row of trees on the left of the canvas are clustered like repeating lines. This reminds me of the bars of a prison and emphasises her trapped state.
