Q

Living conditions for corals :

A
  • Unpolluted and clean water ( pollution, such as chemicals and plastics , can kill corals and disrupt marine life
  • hight levels of plankton : plankton are a food source for corals
  • Shallow sea water : sunlight is needed for photosynthesis, and deeper water reduces light, limiting coral survival.
  • Warm sea water : corals need it to grow and stay healthy. If the water is too cold, coral growth slows down

Q

Living conditions for mangroves :

A

-Soft muddy soil : their roots need loose, wet soil to anchor themselves and absorb nutrients

  • Salty water : they can survive in salty water where most other plants can’t
  • Warm temperature
: they grow in tropical regions because they cannot survive in cold conditions
  • Tidal flow : regular tides bring in nutrients, remove waste, and help distribute seeds to new areas, allowing mangroves to spread.
