Coronary Artery Disease (CAD) Flashcards

1
Q

coronary artery disease (CAD)

A
  • NOT restricted to coronary artery (means coronary circuit)
  • one or more branches of coronary circuit has advanced atherosclerosis –> can’t provide blood to heart cells (ischemia) –> l/o heart Fx

Q

results of chronic ischemic heart disease

A
  • stable angina
  • variant angina
  • silent myocardial ischemia (asymptomatic; ischemia in coronary circuit)
