corporate culture
the shared values, beliefs and practices of a business can be determined through the way employees dress, behave, language used and treatment of each other and customers, slogans and slogans used, and companies policy’s and procedures are part of corporate culture.
official culture
the values and beliefs that a company is trying to convey to the public, usually observed in mission statement, logos, slogans and symbols
real culture
the actual values and beliefs present in a company, observable from dress, behavior and the way employees and managers relate to each other.
COMDAC
communication- what type is used, top down one way or bottom up two way?
orientation- is this style task and procedure oriented or people oriented?
motivation- what does the manager believe will motivate employees extrinsic or intrinsic?
decision making- who makes the decisions for this style
control - does manager like to constantly monitor and micromanage employees?
extrinsic - motivation motivated by possible rewards from external stimuli e.g. given a lollipop as a reward
intrinsic- motivated by personal desired r stimuli within a business.
