Principles of high quality CPR

A
  1. Firm, flat surface
  2. Compressions at the correct rate and depth
  3. Allow chest to return to its normal position after each compression
  4. Minimise interruptions to chest compression
  5. Avoid excessive ventilations

  1. Ensure personal is on their back on a firm surface
  2. Kneel beside their chest
  3. Heel of the hand in the centre of the test and interlace your fingers to hold them up off the chest
  4. Lock your elbows to keep your arms straight
  5. Position your body so that your shoulders are directly over your hands
