What are some examples of a lifeguards primary responsibilities
- Monitoring activities in and near the water through patron surveillance
- Preventing injuries by minimising or eliminating hazardous situations or behaviours

What is implied consent
When someone is unresponsive, confused or seriously injured you can assume they would give consent. Also applies to a minor who needs emergency medical assistance and whose parent/guardian isn’t present
