Long Cover

Double Dump
Used to take two open doors which are either directly opposite or within closed proximity of each other.
Cross Cover
Officers cover threat angles by crossing sectors of fire.
Switch
When holding cross cover, officers simultaneously swap sectors of fire. Usually used at a T-intersection. Initiated by an exaggerated muzzle dip.
Initiative Based Tactics
- You cannot be told what to do in every situation.
- Be attentive and anticipate what others might need.
- Plan ahead, read the next area to clear.
- Find work.
Look for threat angles. Angles and distance are important. If a threat area cannot be covered, consider using speed, diversion, or both.
When plugging a hole…
Square up to the threat and use your armor to cover the rest of the team
Team member goes down in front of you…
Step over him and address the threat
Let other team members behind you attend to the fallen
