Deep corners

A

In the absence of an immediate threat, these must be cleared upon entering a room

1) Deep corners cannot be seen from the exterior of the room
2) Corners are cleared by moving to a point where they becomes visible, one step in, one step over. The room is then cleared to the center.

Q

Initiative Based Tactics

A
  1. You cannot be told what to do in every situation.
  2. Be attentive and anticipate what others might need.
  3. Plan ahead, read the next area to clear.
  4. Find work.

Look for threat angles. Angles and distance are important. If a threat area cannot be covered, consider using speed, diversion, or both.
