- Anatomy-Abducens
- Final-Facial
- Very-Vestibulochochlear
- Good-Glossopharyngeal
- Vacations-Vagus
- Are-Accesory
- Heavenly-Hypoglossal
- most caudal nerve ceause it exits the skull most posteriorly

2

What is opening in the cranium for olfactory nerve
A
- Cribiriform plate , CN1
3
Q
What is the opening for the optic nerve ?
A
- Optic Canal , CNII
4
Q
Superior orbital fissure is an opening for what?
A
- Occulomotor(3), Trochlear(IV), Opthalmic Division of Trigeminal(V1)Abducens(6)

A
- Hypoglossal(CNXII)
10
Q
What nreves are assoicated with the somatic motor modality?
A
III,IV,VI,XII
- FUnction: controls the eye essentially ad helps with eye movement and some tongue
11
Q
What nerves are associated with the brnchial motor modality
A
- V,VII,IX,X,XI
- Function:muscles of mastication , facial expression , of pharynx and larynx , trapezius ,sternomastoid
12
Q
What nerves control the Visceral motor
A
- CN:III,VII,IX,X
- Function:Ciliary muscle,constrictor pupillae
- Glands of the head except integumentary and parotid
- Parotid gland
- All thoracic viscera and abnormal viscera too the splenic flexure
13
Q
What nerves are part of the Viscerla Sensory?
A
- IX,X
- Function:Visceral afferent information necessary for visceral reflex nasuea, but not pain
14
Q
General Sensory
A
- V,VII,IX,X
- Pain, temperature ,touch proprioception from the head and neck ,sinuses, and meninges
15
Q
Special Sensory
A
- I,II,VII,IX,VIII,
- Smell,vision,taste,balance , hearing
16
Q
General rules concenrning Autonomics in the head?
A
- All sympathetic fibers are postganglionic arising from the supeior cervical ganglion of the sympatehtic trunk. They travel on vessels to the sturcutres that they innervate. Deep petrosal is the only named sympathetic nerve of concern for us
- Preganglionic parasmpatehtic fibers arise from nuclei in the brain stem and synapse at 4 ganglia in the ehad(cilliary, pterygopalatine, otic and submandibular
- Preganglionic parasympathetics are carreid by cranial nerves III,VII,IX,X
- All postganglionic fibers”piggy back” on a branch of the trigmenial to arrive at the structure that they innervate
