Day 15 Flashcards
(6 cards)
Testing multiple independent simultaneously
Two or more IV(factors) may be tested at the same time. Test for the effects of each factor separately. Tests for the effects of the combinations of the two factors interactions.
Terms and notations used in factorial ANOVA
The structure or design of the experiment is shown using a matrix.
A two way ANOVA calculates Three different tests of significance
Main effect for factor A, Main effect for factor B and Interaction between factor A and factor B.
Factorial ANOVA
Seeing if there is an effect with different factors.
Logic
Logic of each test of significance is the same as we have seen for one way ANOVA
Quasi-Experimental design
No manipulation of the IV common in applied research. Issues of Defining and measuring a quasi- IV. Issues of the sample selection, issue of an appropriate control group.
