Q

What does insulin do?

Q

type 1

A

-juvenile diabetes
-in childhood, the beta cell die,s and not enough insulin is made
-symtomes-higher blood sugar, frequent urination cuz the water and glucose in the body I secreted and not absorbed, loose weight easily, thirsty, excessive drinking, tired and death
-treatment, none , insulin shots
- cause, we don’t know ,mayben genetics

Q

Type 2

A
  • Bodys cells are becoming ressistent to insulin, this means u need more and moreto get the same effect, which u don’t have so your blood sugar levels increase
  • 40+
-Causes; genetics, diets, high in refined sugars, simple carbs, soft drinks and lack of fibre, obesity, lack of exercise
-exersise can decrease blood sugar by absorbing into the muscles
symptoms;none at first, then inflammation, tiredness, thirst, blindness, imputness, circulatory disturbance
  • treatment change in lifestyle
