Dengue fever signs and symptoms

A

5 to 7 days of fever. Extreme myalgia in the lower back, arms and legs and arthlagias of the knees and shoulders; headache maculopapular rash, vomit and nausea may occur. Recuperation occurs with in a week or so. If infected with another form of the same infectious agent, the previous symptoms are experienced with hemorrhage from the nose and gums and petechiae in the mouth and other mucous membranes.

Staphylococcal toxic shock syndrome signs and symptoms

A

Malaise, followed by headache, confusion, and diarrhea are followed by a high fever, low blood pressure, nausea, vomiting, kidney and liver failure. A sunburn-like rash can also develop and the skin can desquamate over a week or two

Asymptomatic. Signs and symptoms occur 4 to 6 weeks after inoculation and include fever of 101°F to 104°F and chills, sore throat and swollen lymph nodes – particularly the cervical lymph nodes – headache, fatigue and loss of appetite. Individuals may also have an enlarged spleen

Gas gangrene signs and symptoms

A

Skin at the site of infection turns black or blue on the surface, and red or purple if there is cellulitis. The wound is intensely painful and there is a foul – smelling discharge from the wound; eventually there is loss of feeling. If gas is produced in the tissues Beneath the wound, there is a marked swelling. This disease is often accompanied by decreased blood pressure

Plague signs and symptoms
Following an incubation of 2 to 7 days, there is an acute onset of fever and swollen lymph nodes – particularly cervical, axillary, and inguinal lymph nodes. Other symptoms include chills, fever (greater than 102°F or 39°C), malaise, and muscle cramps. In cases where the lungs are infected, blood tainted, mucoid, sputum maybe coughed up other symptoms include dyspnea, cyanosis and death.
