faulty, biased and irrational ways of thinking that mean we perceive ourselves and the world around us inaccurately and negatively. research studies demonstrate people with AN consistently over estimate their weight
what are irrational beliefs likely to do?
interfere with a person’s happiness, people with AN often express irrational beliefs and attitudes that defy logic. All or nothing way of thinking. PErfectionism

perfectionists, full of self doubt, exposure to cultural ideals of thiness, weight loss reinforced by attention and positive comments, fear of food gradually develops
