Abuse - damaged ability to trust, isolating, difficulty in regulating emotion

Childhood friendships - characterised by affection, alliances, trust and acceptance - lonely children become adults with low self esteem

Adolescent friendships - helps goal of separation from parents - emotional and physical intimacy that is diff to familial love

Roisman - no effect of rom rel age 20 as a prediction for those age 30
Determinist - resistant fem with avoidant male = stable rel - can work
Nurture/nature - nature plays role - males more likely to have casual sex etc
