Define what a team is.
A collection of people collaboratively working together or individuals workings on tasks as part of a larger objective.
What is the difference between a formal and informal team?
A formal team are dedicated to an agreed task with meetings, have an allocated leader and share long term goals for the project, whereas informal teams work informally on a task with no formal tasking.
Why are teams important?
Input is contributed by multiple individuals, combining skills and ideas to complete the given project which overall results in time efficiency and productivity.
How does a matrix team work? Why is this structure effective?
Cross functional teams drawn from different departments work together with multiple leaders, enabling shared expertise and skills between teams, contributing to the overall efficiency of the project. This type of structure allows for improved means of communication amongst leaders and employees.
What are the 5 phases of a team lifecycle?
Forming
Storming
Norming
Preforming
Adjourning
What is the ‘storming’ stage?
Team has a clearer idea of purpose, but there may be unclarity and power struggles as members find their roles.

What are KPI’s?
Key Performance Indicators - quantifiable measures of performance. Companies use a range of KPI’s to provide a broad picture of performance, used for single processes, a series of or the entire business.
