How does climate change make the earth hotter?
Greenhouse gases trap more heat, so Earth’s temperature rises.
This leads to:
More very hot days and heatwaves
More people getting heat stroke or illness
Heat makes some diseases spread faster, like those carried by mosquitoes

Stronger and more frequent storms, like hurricanes and floods.
Warm air holds more moisture, so storms can bring more rain

It increases pollution, disease, and hunger.
Air pollution from heat and smoke causes breathing problems

Natural disasters destroy homes, communities and economies
Due to water shortages, agriculture isn’t as effective therefore less jobs
