The spread of ideas, products and services across the world. As technology has developed and international trade and travel has increased, the world has become more interconnected and interdependent
ENVIRONMENTAL GLOBALISATION
increase in the use of goods - significant pressure on the environment
Clearing forests in order to extract natura, resources, polluting waterways trough industrial waste, transportation leads to greenhouse gas emissions and climate change
COP 26 want to achieve a carbon neutral world
Economic globalisation
Increasing integration of multinational and transnational cooperations. Their integration is facilitated by global market, global finances and the free flow of capital and trade
Countries rely on each other for various valuable resources
FDI contributes to rapid technological advancements
Cultural globalisation
Individual cultures are being lost and replaced by a monoculture (wearing the same clothes, eating the same food…)
Political globalisation
Nations are no longer dependent and rely on each other to make decisions
Allows countries to trade more freely and work together on big global problems
